MESTRE, WHAT TO SEE
PIAZZA FERRETTO
The structure of the square dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was the heart of the ancient village built around the archpriest’s church and overlooking Castelnuovo, serving as a market place.
Overlooking the square, with porticoes on both sides according to Venetian custom, are the cathedral of San Lorenzo and the Da Re palace, once owned by the wealthy Da Re family, whose portico hosted the grain market.
At the north-eastern end stands the Clock Tower, the last remnant of the ancient castle.
In the square there are shops of all types, a supermarket, pharmacies, restaurants and bars.
M9 MUSEUM
The M9 Museum, or Multimedia Museum of the 20th Century, is an ethnographic and contemporary history museum located in Mestre, in the municipality of Venice.
Inaugurated in December 2018, the exhibition space is conceived as an expression of multimedia culture, sustainable architecture, technology, services for citizens and innovative
forms of commerce.

SAN GIULIANO PARK
San Giuliano Park in Mestre is the largest park in Europe, in addition to being an area of environmental and landscape recovery, is also an excellent destination for practicing sports and cultural activities for free time, offering recreational spaces for refreshment in equipped areas, as well as a network of pedestrian and cycle paths within the park.
It includes green areas and facilities: Infopoint with bicycle rental, children’s play area, bar, free skating rink, football pitch, areas where you can train, drinking fountains and a temporary restaurant.
